Illustration of the NBOX Burn Mechanism

Illustration of NBOX automatic yield burn mechanism

The extreme theoretical upper limit of NBOX yield capacity is 100 billion in 5 years, and the realistic effective production (the portion returned to the players) depends on the actual scale and pace of player investment (see the white paper for the return model). The part that is less than 100 billion will be automatically burned day by day according to the minimum yield curve specified in the White Paper, which is the "automatic yield burn mechanism" described in this article (as opposed to the player-initiated upgrade burn behavior that consumes NBOX by increasing Pneuma).

First, as shown in Picture 1, the horizontal axis is time and the vertical axis is the cumulative token production. The economic model algorithm specifies the upper and lower production bound for each day, resulting in two production curves distributed by time, that is, the values between the two curves are in the "ideal" range. So, it follows that in the absence of any token production, the number of tokens below the lower bound curve will be burned, called the maximum burn curve, and the production above the upper limit curve does not exist.

Next, we introduce the variable of actual production data (green curve), which is the player's return. As shown in Picture 2, assuming that the green curve is the actual production curve, the green area is the number of NBOXs obtained by the players, and the purple area is the number of destroyed items, the following formula can be summarized:

The total amount of burn = the maximum number of burn - the actual amount of production outside the ideal range

Therefore, Picture 2 can be interpreted to mean that until about 2.5 years ago, the cumulative production was in the ideal range and there was no burn, and from 2.5 years onwards, the amount of system burn gradually increased and the overall player commitment was very low.

Using the same method to analyze Picture 3, with applying the above formula, we can also get the purple area is the number of burn, the overall players input are not too much, because the actual production curve almost matches the lower production limit curve, so the total amount of burn is not much.

Currently, the platform is still in its early stages and the overall players input are not high, so the actual daily production is almost in the ideal range, and there is very little or no burn every day. Since the future players investments are unpredictable, it is impossible to draw the future actual production curve, but according to the algorithm, we can give you the minimum production volume as of a certain month, please check below.
